Why do they always show people sleeping on their backs in hospital scenes? I never sleep on my back and I'm willing to bet that most people either sleep on their sides or on their stomachs.
It's a lot more comfortable (and better for your spine) to sleep with your back on the bed.
And there is another reason - it is a lot easier for you to sit up and eat in that position than if you were lying on your sides. If you notice, a lot of hospital beds have a way of automatically raising the elevation of the head-side. Having spent significant periods of time in hospitals for a variety of reasons (I know, I know), it's a lot more comfortable to be on your back than any other position - sure, your butt aches after a while, but hey, it's your fault for ending up there anyway.
Besides, it's got other advantages that I won't go into on a public blog.
Just because you're weird doesn't mean...
ReplyDeletethat was uncalled for. take it back. NOW!
